Catalog
Development partners who have ideas on how directory functionality in Mobilt Bedriftsnett can be leveraged may have the opportunity to implement their ideas through API Catalog. As a Telenor development partner you can develop your own switchboard solutions or integrate telephony solutions into other business applications and offer them to your own customers.
Options offered by API Catalog
API Catalog transfers information between directories to the Mobilt Bedriftsnett directory. It is the customer's application that controls when information should be updated to and from the Mobilt Bedriftsnett directory.
API Catalog ensures the automatic transfer of information between the internal company directory and Mobilt Bedriftsnett. Examples of internal company directories are Novell and Active Directory.
API Catalog is an add-on to Mobilt Bedriftsnett from Telenor.
Enhance the value of your directory solution
Your own calendar solutions and applications can retrieve absence information from the Mobilt Bedriftsnett directory.
On the other hand, all applications integrated with the company's Mobilt Bedriftsnett directory can use calendar information, e.g. the company's absence system (MS Exchange), applications such as the switchboard, CRM, Unified Communication, mobile clients and Mine Sider.
As a development partner you get to work closely with your customer by being responsible for this integration.
Service description
API Catalog is an API for synchronising information from the customer's application with the customer's own Mobilt Bedriftsnett directory. The customer's application can be, for instance, MS Active directory or another application containing employee/contact data for the company. In most cases, integration needs to be carried out between the customer's application and the API with the Mobilt Bedriftsnett directory at Telenor.
Information in the updated Mobilt Bedriftsnett directory can be retrieved to other applications that the customer has, e.g. switchboard, CRM system, intranet etc. All active Mobilt Bedriftsnett users will have access to updated information via the channels offered by Telenor in Mobilt Bedriftsnett such as the Mobile client, Mine Sider and IVR.
The figure above shows an overview of how API Catalog synchronisation can be used. The client application can be both the customer's internal directory application (which does the updating) and an application that uses information from the Mobilt Bedriftsnett directory (e.g. a switchboard).
The client application initiates the updating of the Mobilt Bedriftsnett directory via TSG (A). The client application retrieves updated information via TSG from the Mobilt Bedriftsnett directory and uses updated information. At the same time, updated information will also be available in the customer's MB directory to users in the company via the Mobile client and Mine Sider, for instance.
On Mine Sider, Mobilt Bedriftsnett's web interface, the application user can select the "Interne" tab to obtain a list of and search for internal contacts that have been defined in the company directory.

Requirements
Development partners intending to use API Catalog must have cooperation and developer agreements with Telenor. The end customer must have a Mobilt Bedriftsnett agreement with Telenor and the additional services in Mobilt Bedriftsnett which are required to use the development partner's solution. This will depend on what functionality the development partner adds to its solution being offered to customers.
