Telenor sells mobile phone subscriptions. To be able to do so, it has efficient systems in place to order the mobile phone subscriptions, and invoice its customers for the same subscriptions. With the consept Tjenestepakke (Partner Services) Telenor offers this value chain to our partners.

Others may create and distribute applications that are used on a subscriber’s phone or PDA. These applications often used data-based (GPRS/3G) traffic in its user interactions. With aim to make it easier for the customers, Partners can with Tjenestepakke sell their applications to customers with a fixed monthly price including data traffic for the application. 

Telenor wishes to offer its ordering and invoicing capabilities to others, making it possible to offer a broader spectre of services to the subscriber.

Process for access and approval

  • The agreement is signed and the Partner provides all the necessary product data to Telenor.
  • Telenor gives the WSDL file to the partner.
  • The partner develops the solution on their side

  • Telenor sets up the Partner solutions in their systems

  • An acceptance test of the Partner solution setup and the partner’s handling of the interface must be completed before the Partner solutions are rolled out into production

  • The partner does not receive production access until the solution has been adequately tested

The Partner product is put into production and the Partner has the possibility to enter into agreements with customers and then activate own service at the customers mobile subscription. This is done in an online prosess from activating order in Online Forhandler - to adding the product content at the partner side - and the billing the customer for the Partner product.

Each month there will be a settlement process where the Partner will recive the agreed share of the revenue of the billed customers.

Prices for establishing services in Telenors order- and billing chain are the following;

Startup fee: NOK 50 000 for the first service, NOK 5000 pr following services

Monthly fee for partner: NOK 3000,- NOK 1000, pr following services.

Data volume pr service; starts with Nok 5,00 pr MByte, for the first GByte and is down to NOK 3,00 pr MByte when volumes exceedes 50GByte pr month.

Depending of what price the Partner decides for own products to enduser (Startup fee and monthly fee) the partner will keep from 80 - 95% of the enduser prise.
